Never underestimate...

the importance of ice in a fountain beverage.  dot.conor reader mary writes in with this horror story:

dot.conor!
you will never believe what happened to me last night.  due to the extreme heat in the big apple, i sauntered over to the local cineplex to catch a flick.  after waiting in line for some not-so-"extreme" nachos and a diet coke, i get to my seat with a parched palette.  imagine my surprise and shock when i got to my seat in the sold-out theatre and found not a cube of ice floating in my luke-warm beverage!  instead of pitching a fit, i sat there like a good socialite and decided to take a sip of the famous, deliciousness and found that it is nowhere near as good as it should be without ice.  so from that point forward, i swore to myself that i will never again suffer through that experience.  it's now ice or nothing!
